Information about Speakers
Even from the factory your car In Car Entertainment system probably came with speaker... However, most manufacturers use cheap speakers with cones made of paper of card, yes you read that right PAPER!! No wonder they sound terrible! Vibe Car Audio speakers provide you with an unrivalled audio experience and ensure a much fuller sound. With speakers ranging from Vibe 4" to Vibe 6x9" they are capable of both low frequency bass and high frequency treble, which are simply inadequate in a standard system. This is not just for people interested in coma inducing power but for those who love quality sound replication Vibe speakers are a must.
There are several different levels in the Vibe range, Vibe Slick speakers, Vibe Black Air speakers, Vibe Space speakers, Vibe Deep Space Speakers and Vibe Black Death. Vibe Slick is the entry level, Black Air level 2 and so on until Black Death the competition level ultimate performance range. All the Vibe speakers in each level are supplied in pairs.
How do I choose?
A speaker is rated in watts the more watts the louder the speaker. There is also the size of the speaker too; a 4" speaker can not move as much air as a 6x9" speaker in a single movement if provided with equal power. So a larger Vibe speaker will produce more noise too. HOWEVER, the sounds they produce are slightly different this is the frequency, the larger the frequency your Vibe speaker produces the higher pitch the lower the deeper the bass. A good system will use a combination of Vibe speakers to provide powerful mid range punch and quality treble reproduction. Explanation of a two-way (Co-Axial) speaker...
In a Vibe two-way speaker, the bass and midrange signals go to the woofer, while signals above a certain frequency (often around 3kHz) go to the smaller tweeter. This is similar in a three way traxial speaker with the difference being that the signal is split three times and thus each part of the speaker is being more spcialised and thus a clearer sound.
What are component systems?...
A component system is a different to a two or three way speaker as it has been broken in to its components... It is thus made up of a mid speaker a seperate tweeter and a crossover. If it s a three way component kit then there is a larger mid tweeter aswell. Component systems are better than a two of thee way single speaker. They have better materials, they are focused on the frequency sent to them with no interference, they can be positioned in the right place for the frequency (lower bass to the bottom of a door where as a tweeter should be on the a pillar). The component kit is the enthusiasts choice as it shows a comitment to audio perfection and allows for creative placement of the speakers and crossover.
